The brief was to alter and enlarge an existing semi detached cottage house into a modern three bedroom property to rent.

 

A large 1.5 story extension was to be added to the existing gable in addition to converting the existing attic space into a bedroom.

 

The proposed design seeks to utilise an open space layout by minimising circulation space and promotes high levels of natural daylight through large openings on all three elevations.

 

The large openings and a contrast of material finishes allow the extension give the extension a modern appearance and stand out the the existing house.
