The client’s brief was for a three-bedroom house located in Ayrshire. The site is in a quiet and desirable area with a railway station that links to Glasgow only a few hundred feet away.

 

The design shown here is for the first of three proposed houses on a vacant plot of land. Each house is intended to be unique.

The proposal respects the neighbouring context by keeping the height of the house to 1.5 story and prioritising views to towards garden ground at the entrance and the grassland areas. A material palette of Brick, Render and Zinc has been used to create an attractive alternative to the surrounding houses, without looking out of character.
