The site is a large open space located at the corner of a busy junction road on the west coast of Scotland.

The brief was for a commercial chip shop to serve golfers and the local community.

The design intent for the building was for it to be a striking piece of architecture which could be appreciated from all angles.

 

The concept took the form of a folded origami pavilion, with large volumes of glazing at the south facing entrance for views out to sea.
