About

Mission

Ekotect is a collaborative effort by Teachers, Environmentalists, Architects, & Artists in the Community and High Schools to foster computer and design services by clean technology in Mendocino County with the World. We support education and business needs in our community and international partners abroad.

Goal

Our goal is to cultivate innovative new practice focused on low-cost, e-business solutions, remote-access VPNs, and frugal resource management to reduce communications costs, increases flexibility and improve business productivity

Who We Are

Ekotect started out in late 2007 as a community and youth project bringing together people from those worlds. At the early stage, we started volunteering computer service to the senior community and the project speeds clean technology from classroom to a demanding market. It is based in Ukiah, California.

Ekotect is supported by a diverse array of businesses, educational institutions, government leaders and private individuals around the world.

T. E. A. A. C. H

To help develop tomorrow's technical talent, Ekotect introduced the T E A A C H program in collaboration with local high schools in 2008. It seeks entries from professionals and students alike; focuses solely on mentorship, to inspire, and hands-on experience, by giving access to a positive learning environment. At its simplest, this form of community outreach allows mentors to convey their enthusiasm and provides the students with some exciting and work opportunities with senior community at the same time.
